grabe, last saturday, we had a chess training at the Blue Eagle Gymn.. i was asked to play against 2 new comers (they passed the ACET.. hoora!!) and they were daughters of respected and known national masters of chess. fortunately, my first opponent was trouble with her time so she never really won against me even though she would probably have because she had the piece advantage. anyway, the second girl was impressive at all. i'm not being boastful or anything but she wasn't playing any good. she knew chess moves and openings but she committed too much blunders. no offens to her and her father, but i don't think she deserve a scholarship for being a player. anyway, i wasn't given any authority to reject and accept her in the team but i'll see soon if what she deserves because we will be helding a mini-'tournament' at the gymn for all those people interested in joining the team in March 12 and 19.

after the training, i went to the rsf (computer lab) and i checked my mail and listened to some mp3s.. then when it was time to leave, i forgot that i placed my mobile phone beside the keyboard (that i always do because i wanted to have signal, which by the way was hard to get inside the foyer...). then when dj and i reached ctc, i remembered that i left that d*mn phone! i ran back but the it was closed... aaaaaahhhhh... panic, panic, panic..

i went to xavier hall to ask if i can still open the foyer to get something. they said that the people having the keys already left.. aahhh, panic again.. i ask the guards if the people clean that room in the morning and he said that he was not sure. ahhh.. hopelessness came up to me and so i went home... d*mn it!

so i spent my whole night wondering how to get my phone back. i tried calling it with our landline and it rang. a good sign!! i barely slept that night and when i woke up at seven, i dialled it again. it rang!! there's hope!! hahaha... then my uncle and i went to SM to buy stuffs and when he asked me about my phone, i told him that i forgot to get it from a friend. no more questions were asked because he knew that i always forget a lot of things. in fact, there was a time in high school that i went to school forgetting my bag.. hahaha... too nice!! ^_^

haaaay.. last night, i was really praying very hard... i don't actually care much about the phone but the sim card and messages in there.. honestly, i've lost a phone last time and the hassle of collecting numbers and informing everyone about my new contact number was very unpleasant. haaaayyy...

so early this morning, i hurriedly prepare for school.. in the jeep from UP to katipunan, i saw kuya tefferson (4-bs ME!!) and told him my story and he wished me luck... i wished him luck too because he said that he'll have his last exam later at 730pm. we talked as we walk from the overpass to som. he asked me if i'm a scholar and i said yes. he said that i was very blessed because education nowadays (well, knowing the tuition fees of Ateneo..) were very expensive. i must agree, i'm blessed...

we parted ways at the sec walkaway and so i headed to the rizal foyer. i asked the manong and the guard if they saw a mobile phone. they asked several things like what model, when did i left it, where, color, etc... i told them everything even the attempts to recover it and that i called it the nights before. the computer technician said that he wasn't there yesterday so he would not possibly know if they got anything. i wondered for a while because i thought that it was close during sundays. he said that it opened at 1pm and that a different person was incharge. my hope again broke into pieces... whahahaha...

then, manong looked inside the office. after about a loooOooong 5 minutes, he went out holding my mobile phone and continuously saying that he saw nothing. i was very relieved!! woo hoo.. i love my phone of course.. hahaha.. i was very thankful to the very nice guy that saw my phone and had the nicest heart not to keep it for himself.. very nice of him!! ^_^ also, im thankful to the manongs in there.. hehehe.. i promised my self not to do that again. and indeed, i once again felt that i am really, really blessed. >_<

yesterday, i attended a tournament held at the Star Mall. the entrance fee was paid by the UAO (thank you sir Cape* ^^) and the whole chess team was supposed to be there. and so i came. but as i played, there was a very big thought in my mind that bothered me. i have a due date this monday. ohh yeah, a ten-page paper about laser!! whoa, physics long exam pa! d*mmit, eto ako at nagka-cram na naman.

i don't have the intentions to fail anything. haaayyy.. never!

so, bye for now, i need to do this.. :(

a tribute to 'the King'!

yesterday, jayson and i went to UP because our high school classmate, roan, told us to do so. she said that we will be watching a four-hour film. i was not sure if i really wanted to watch that long movie. well, i was convinced that i'll watch it afterall, since she will be paying for the tickets.. hehe^^..

so when the computer lab in ctc closed, jayson and i went then to BA building because roan said that she will be there waiting. by the time we arrived there, the lady guard asked for my id and i was too sleepy to understand her. when she repeated the question, i reluctantly answered that i don't have any UP id because i don't study there. she asked our school and after we told her, she then told us to wait outside the building. i was a little irritated when i text roan to come outside that d*mn building.. ^^ i wasn't angry or anything, i just wanted to leave that place. when i finally saw her, i told her about our encounter with the building's lady guard. she then hypothesized that the BA became strict because of the past theft cases within the building. anyway, off we went to see the film.

i then asked her about the film i wasn't informed about the title of casts or anything at all. so when the film started, i was too overwhelmed by the casts. it was entitled 'Agila', and the lead actor was The King himself, Fernando Poe Jr.

there were also lot more good actors and actresses in the film. Charo Santos, Sandy Andolong, Christoffer de Leon, Johnny Delgado, etc... in short, all-star cast!!

the film itself was also great. a very long and twisted film but very much worth the P50 ticket price. everything was very artistically done. it was actually set in the war between Japan and Philippines and the present. yup, there were lots of flashbacks and people as well. haaay... sobrang haba lang talaga at nakalilito. anyway, i had a great time watching it haha^^ it was a real tribute to the King!

At long last… I wasn’t able to use any computer these fast few days. At least, marami naman akong natapos. Actually, I have accomplished just a very important project. The theme of the contest held by the Asian Studies of Ateneo was ‘ Asia in Colors’. We picked the country Jordan. Sobrang wala kaming idea kaya nagtanung-tanong kami. I asked Father Rene Javellana, Director of the Fine Arts Program and my FA teacher, if he could suggest any style or form since the contest doesn’t care about the materials and processes used. So, as he suggested that we use real sand to portray the deserts of Jordan, we did and found our selves throwing too much sand and were actually messing a portion of the Cafeteria. Of course, we cleaned the area. (Jaze was actually there helping me mess.. hehe.. ^_^) We just finished everything about 4:10pm and Peb passed it and I reluctantly went to my locker at Sec C to get my things. I almost forgot that I have to go to the Phoenix Pub. House to get my first salary. (yey!!! I’m already a working stud.. ^_^ *jumping*)

Yup, I got myself a job. Actually, a very ideal job para sa isang tamad at mahilig magdrawing na batang katulad ko. I was very happy!! *shouting wooohoo.. * Sarap pala ng feeling.. hehehe..

Anyway, sobrang stressed naman ako. I haven’t eaten lunch because I really wanted to finish the gaddam poster. I even cut a class (gawd, sorry ms. Ulit, I’ll try not do to it again.. *peace sign*). So I went home after that visit to the Phoenix Building in Quezon Avenue. Then again, I felt tired, sobrang loooooong ng weekend na ito para sa akin. My only compensation was that there are no classes on Monday because it’s a school holiday.. (president’s day ata.. *unsure*).

Okey, got to go… Jayson and I are going to UP today for the YFC Campus Tour. My highschool classmates are performing there. We'll meet them at the Bahay ng Alumni. Bye bye..

Lord Forgive Me When I Whine..

As i was blog-surfing.. (that was my term.. hehe.. pwede ring blog-hopping :p), i saw my previous blog and it surprised me. Tada.. I have abandoned it for a long time and now, I'm using a new one. Tsk... Tsk... Honestly, I forgot the password of that account. hehe.. My fault! ^_^

Anyway, I read my previous post so now, I'am attaching a poem I posted long ago. Hope you have time to read and think of it.. ^_^

LORD, FORGIVE ME WHEN I WHINE

Today, upon a bus, I saw a lovely girl with golden hair I envied her... She seemed so happy... and wished I were as fair. When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle; She had one leg and used a crutch; but as she passed... a smile! Oh, dear GOD, forgive me when I whine, I have two good legs. The world is mine!

I stopped to buy some candy. The boy who sold it had such charm. I talked with him. He seemed so glad. If I were late, `twould do no harm. And as I left he said to me, "thank you." You have been so kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you. You see, he said, "I'm blind." Oh, GOD forgive me when I whine, I have two eyes. The world is mine.

Later, while walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes so blue. He stood and watched the others play. He did not know what to do. I stopped a moment, then I said, "why don't you join the others, dear?" He look ahead without a word, and then I knew he could not hear. Oh, GOD forgive me when I whine. I have two ears. The world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go, With eyes to see the sunset's glow, With ears to hear what I should know... Oh, GOD forgive me when I whine. You have truly blessed me. The world is mine...
